Allegations against two members of the University of the South Pacific Council

Charges against two individuals from the University of the South Pacific Council have been alluded to an Executive Committee.

Supportive of Chancellor Winston Thompson and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee Mahmood Khan are claimed to have penetrated the USP Council Code of Conduct.

Thompson and Khan were singled out by the USP Council for supposed defiance for their endeavors to have previous Vice-Chancellor Professor Pal Ahluwalia examined by an autonomous group.

Composed reactions from the two will likewise be sent to the Executive Committee as per Article 6 of the USP Council Code of Conduct.

The interaction from that point will follow all the way through and suggestions to be given to the Council no later than 30 March 2021.

The Council couldn’t consider the agreement of Professor Pal Ahluwalia as the Sub-Committee is yet to introduce its proposals.

The Council has expanded the arrangement of Dr Giulio Paunga as Acting Vice-Chancellor and President until additional notification.
