Head administrator Voreqe Bainimarama has approached the University of the South Pacific Council to clean house.
In the wake of bringing up issues about Opposition MP Professor Biman Prasad’s significant other being selected as Director Flexible Learning, Bainimarama today says the Council needs to take a gander at the whole senior administration of USP.”I trust that the USP Council will make the best choice and do a freedom of this house. There is a requirement for an absolute freedom of the USP organization and I trust that the USP Council will do that for us.”
This is the first occasion when that Bainimarama has developed his interests over administration issues at USP.
He at first singled out Dr Rajni Chand for being chosen Director Flexible Learning, asserting the position was not publicized universally according to the USP strategy.
The Prime Minister has gotten down on Professor Biman Prasad, asserting the NFP Leader has not stood firm against debasement at USP on the grounds that his significant other has profited by it.
“In the explanation, he’s not addressing the essential inquiry I raised, which is the reason was the post not publicized globally according to USP strategy. He should quit including understudies. This issue has nothing to do with them, it has to do with Biman and his buddies at USP.”
Prasad has not reacted to calls from FBC News, while his significant other Dr Rajni Chand says she isn’t taking any inquiries.
