Fiji: Lautoka tops Premier League standings after beating Rewa

The Lautoka soccer team is now leading the Vodafone Premier League standings with 9 points after they beat Rewa 1-nil this afternoon.

Both teams were locked nil-all at the half time.

Lautoka substitute Sakauve Finau scored the lone goal in the second half.

In another match, Ba soccer came out firing in their 4-1 victory over Dreketi earlier today.

Ba lost to Labasa 3-0 yesterday.

Ba striker, Saula Waqa was instrumental in Ba’s incredible comeback, scoring a hat trick to give them the lead in the first half.

Vilikesa Sowane scored Dreketi’s lone goal, bringing them back into the game 3-1 before half time.

The men in black extended their lead 4-1 in the second half through Meli Codro.

Ba will now take on Lautoka in the Pillay Garments Champion versus Champion series.

The first leg will be played at 7pm Friday while the second leg will be played at 3pm next Sunday.

Meanwhile, in the Vodafone Senior League, Lami thrashed Vatukoula 10-3, Nasinu beat Navua 3-2 while Nadroga beat Tailevu Naitasiri 2-nil.
