An Australian woman who has strong links to Fiji says she has not heard of any houses of Fijians destroyed by the bushfires currently affecting the country.
Tanya Rai who lives about 3 hours from Adelaide which was affected by bushfires before Christmas says she is grateful for the thoughts and prayers.

Rai says people in Australia are heartbroken due to the loss of lives and the massive number of animals killed in the bush fires.
She says they are in need of volunteers to help in the clean up.
Since September, fires in Australia have killed at least 24 people and more than 1,200 homes have been destroyed and millions of hectares of land scorched.
