Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says he is hoping Prince of Wales Prince Charles will be a part of Fiji’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.

Speaking to the Fijian diaspora in the United Arab Emirates during a talanoa session, Bainimarama says he has come out to invite His Royal Highness Prince Charles to be the Chief Guest as he gave Fijians the constitution on 10th October in 1970.

He adds that it will be a wonderful opportunity if he agrees to come back.

Bainimarama adds there will be a lot of celebration every month and is hopeful that by the end of it Prince Charles will be the Chief Guest during the celebration.

There are about 250 Fijians working and living in the UAE, some of whom are nurses, pilots, and teachers.

The Prime Minister also thanked the Fijians in UAE for their remittance to Fiji.
