Updated: 7:10am – The Fiji Airways National 7s team have won the Oceania 7s title after beating rivals New Zealand 26-0 in the final at the ANZ Stadium.
Fiji displayed brilliant attacking and defense throughout the game.
Fiji led 14-0 at half time.
Fiji’s first try came from Kalione Nasoko who was one of the outstanding performers for the national side throughout the tournament.
Waisea Nacuqu who was another of the outstanding performers for the team scored two tries while Josua Vakurinabili scored the other try for Fiji.
Captain Jerry Tuwai says this is a good build up for the Sevens Series.
Meanwhile, New Zealand clinched the Womens title after defeating Australia 12-5 in the final while Fijiana beat PNG 39-0 for the 3rd place playoff.
