Marist FC’s Davidson Tome scored the first goal in the 35th minute of the first half.

The Lautoka side had many opportunities to score throughout the match, however was only successful in the second half of play.

Lautoka’s Osea Vakatalesau scored the lone goal through a header in the 3rdminute of the second half after Cory Chettleburgh delivered a well timed corner kick.

Lautoka Coach Kamal Swamy says he will be making changes to the line up of the team in the second leg of the semi final.

The second leg of the semi-final will be played at 3pm Sunday in Honiara and a nil-all draw will mean that Marist FC will qualify for the finals since they have scored an away goal.

Lautoka will need to win the match or get a 2-all draw to secure a place in the final.
