No charges will be laid against the Attorney-General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum

The Director of Public Prosecutions Christoper Pryde affirmed this in a media proclamation this evening.

The police record was shipped off the DPP for appraisal of the proof and a choice, on whether any charges ought to be laid after an objection that the Attorney-General had supposedly been associated with two separate bombarding occurrences.

Pryde says the record was gotten back to police on thirteenth November a year ago for additional examination and a refreshed document was given to the DPP’s Office a month later.

He adds that after an audit of the police agenda, it is their assessment that there is deficient dependable or solid proof to help any criminal accusations being laid against the Attorney-General.

Along these lines, the agenda has been gotten back to police with the guidance not to charge and no further activity is required.
