Talking during the Radio Fiji One’s Na Noda Parai-minisita program, Bainimarama said lies regarding the iTaukei losing their property is a political plan which will just step Fiji back.

Bainimarama focused on that all iTaukei land is protected and issues being raised by SODELPA about iTaukei land possession and the iQoliqoli Bill are for the most part lies.

This is coming from the Opposition to politicize the move by the public authority. The ongoing discussion about the I-Qoliqoli charge which has shaken our nation for some time is a perfect representation. This is another move from SODELPA, they are in a roundabout way requesting your votes.”

The Prime Minister has remained by the choice to abrogate the proposed Qoliqoli Bill which was being promoted by the then Soqososo Duavata ni Lewenivanua or SDL in 2006.

“The I-Qoliqoli Bill made two men battled about an I-Qoliqoli utilizing a blade. This is even before the bill was passed. So suppose we authorize the bill?? The order of the bill will influence the travel industry area as landowners will choose what to be done to their I-Qoliqoli. This was the underlying choice made by the principal government to leave the I-Qoliqoli to the public authority. Leave it alone that way.”

Bainimarama likewise rubbished Facebook remarks by Opposition MP Niko Nawaikula that iTaukei land isn’t sheltered with the FijiFirst government.

“The Opposition particularly Niko Nawaikula said that the public authority couldn’t care less about I-Taukei. He says that the public authority doesn’t follow the systems set up in guaranteeing the security of I-Taukei land. Niko should make time to go down to the Ministry of I-Taukei and see the broad work by the Ministry in recording the Vola ni Kawa Bula information the planning of town limits and the enlistment of I-Qoliqoli and different projects for the security of I-Taukei.”

He says the public authority is attempting to guarantee that Fiji stays a multiracial country which will consistently abandon nobody.
