Fiji defeated France 24-5 to go through to the Cup semifinals at the Paris 7s. Fiji will play in the first Cup semifinal at 1:23 tomorrow morning against USA.
The Gareth Baber coached side had to come from behind to outclass the French side as the hosts led 5-0 at the breather. It was all Fiji in the second half when they scored four answered tries. Fiji’s tries were scored by Vilimoni Botitu, Asaeli Tuivuaka, Aminiasi Tuimaba and Alasio Naduva.
The second semifinal will be at 1:45am between New Zealand and South Africa. New Zealand defeated Argentina 21-12 in the third quarterfinal. South Africa thrashed Samoa 40-7 in the fourth Cup quarterfinal.
The Cup final will kick off at 4:33 tomorrow morning.
