UPDATED: 6:10am – The police say the two-year-old girl who went missing this afternoon has been found safe and well. The girl was missing from a property on Little Sydney Road since about 4pm yesterday.
About 20 people searched the area, including off-duty police, search and rescue and neighbours. Police said the girl had been missing from a property on Little Sydney Road since about 4pm.
The property is in a rural area, surrounded by extensive bush. Neighbour Stephen Satherley was helping with the search.
Earlier, he said the girl’s parents and grandfather were out searching for her. Another neighbour, Stephanie Walls, said the girl was visiting her grandfather, a local farmer.
She said it was a close-knit community and a neighbour had called to alert her of the missing girl.
