Brazilian import Marcelo Tanus was a standout for Rewa in the midfield as he created some good opportunities for his team but was unfortunately let down by his strikers Elias Silva, Iosefo Verevou and Epeli Saukuru who were off target and missed from closed range.

Rewa struggled with their finishing in the match and were punished again in the dying stages of the match as Waitakere United scored their second goal with a low pile driver shot from inside the box.

The Rewa side departs for Tahiti and will try to work on their areas of concern before facing Marist Fire in March 11th.
