Lautoka City Council awaits Ministry’s decision for IDC venue | NZ FIJI TIMES

Update: 6:55am – The Lautoka City Council will await a decision from the Ministry of Local Government in relation to an application from the Fiji Football Association to host the Courts IDC at Churchill Park.

Council’s CEO Jone Nakauvadra says the Ministry will make the final decision.

The Lautoka City Council already has a booking for an event on the same dates as the IDC in October this year.

Fiji Football Association’s CEO Mohammed Yusuf says they sent a letter to the Council yesterday indicating that they want to host the IDC at Churchill Park.

Fiji FA will have to look for an alternative venue if the decision does not go in its favor.

The pool matches of the Courts IDC will be played on the 10th, 11th and 12th October while the semi-finals and final will be played on 14th and 15th October.

Meanwhile, Rewa will face Labasa this Sunday at Subrail Park in the Vodafone Premier League.

In other matches, Labasa will face Suva, Dreketi will play Rewa,

Ba will play Nadi, Dreketi will face Suva and Lautoka will host Rakiraki.
